

BOND, R. Lucille Bond, 91, passed away Saturday evening, May 28, 2011, at the Hospice of Dayton. Born on February 6, 1920 in Marion, OH, to parents Clifford and Myrtle Apple, she grew up with her three sisters helping with the family business. Lucille retired from the Stumps Supermarkets chain in Dayton where she worked as a bookkeeper for over 30 years, and recently lived in Englewood. She was a long time member of the Epsilon Delta Tau Sorority, and the Clayton United Methodist Church, which she served in many capacities. Lucille enjoyed life and loved her family and friends passionately. She touched many people throughout their lives, always giving generously of her time and efforts. Lucille centered her life around helping her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always making sure her family came first before anything else. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alvin W. Bond of 30 years; and two sisters, Margaret and Jenny. She is survived by sister, Marcella Bogan of Lebanon; daughter, Sharon K. (Fred) Kingrey of Kettering; son, Douglas L. (Donna) Bond of Powell. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Alicia Kingrey Lokai, Philip Kingrey, John Kingrey, Kristen Bitonte, and Kelley Bond; and 11 great-grandchildren: Marianne Kingrey, Steven Kingrey , Amanda Kingrey, Samuel Kingrey, John Lokai, Jack Lokai, Rachael Kingrey, Jane Kingrey, Sarah Kingrey, Nathan Bitonte and Jacob Bitonte. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Memorial Service on Saturday, June 4, 2011, at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, 45429. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, in appreciation of their loving care shown to Lucille and her family.
