Reverend Ruth Ellen Doyle

Reverend Ruth Ellen Doyle, age 60 of Huber Heights, passed away Monday, December 14, 2015 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Joan Bourquin. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ronald Doyle. Her children also survive her: daughter Rebecca Ruth (Doyle) Hill and husband Andrew of Huber Heights, and son Robert Don Doyle and wife Michelle of Xenia, as do her grandchildren, Ethan Hill and Zoey Hill of Huber Heights. She is also survived by a brother, Roger Bourquin, and sister, Susan Sleeper and husband Charles, all of OK. Ruth was a registered nurse and worked for twenty years in that field. She was later ordained as an Elder in the Methodist Church and has served almost fifteen years as a Chaplain at Hospice of Dayton. During her time off she enjoyed teaching at Hilltop Academy, the grandchildren's homeschool. A memorial service will be held at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 5464 Troy Pike, Huber Heights, 45424 on Monday, December 21st at 6:30pm, with a short social time afterwards. Contributions can be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 101 Huffman Ave. Dayton, OH 45403 in Ruth’s memory; this is a church that Ruth has supported for many years and loved the outreaches it offers to the community.
