Ruth was a woman of quiet grace, unwavering kindness, and deep devotion to God. Her faith was the foundation of her life. It guided her heart, shaped her character, and carried her through every season. She lived her beliefs daily through compassion, humility, patience, and love for others.
She shared a loving marriage with her husband, James E. Thomas “Bud”, who preceded her in death in June of 2000. Their marriage was one of devotion, love, and partnership. We take comfort in knowing he was waiting for her with open arms.
Ruth was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her two children, James Frederick Thomas “Fred” and his wife, Myrna Thomas, and Charlotte Bauer and partner Fred Baum. She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Kelli Wells and her husband, Robert Wells; Matthew Thomas; Elizabeth Lint and her husband, Stephen Lint; and Robert Bauer and his wife, Jessica Bauer.
Ruth was also blessed with eight wonderful great-grandchildren, who brought great joy and love into her life.
Her gentle spirit, steady presence, and loving heart touched everyone who knew her. Ruth’s legacy of faith, family, kindness, and devotion to God will continue to live on through the generations she loved and nurtured.
