Sandra Lee Bates

BATES, Sandra Lee, age 70 of Dayton, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 into the arms of Jesus. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Helen Bates. Sandra is survived by her loving sister and brother in law, Mike and Marilyn Thompson of Beavercreek; nephew, Mike Thompson Jr. of Beavercreek; and special cousin, Carol Carver of NC. Sandra retired in 1994 from DFAS, Columbus, where she was a financial systems specialist. From 1979-1992 she was a cost accounting technician for DESC, Dayton and a member of the 25 year club. She also served for many years in the children’s ministry and was currently serving in the nursing home ministry at Life Ponte Church in Kettering, formerly Christ Life Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 11am at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME- BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. Bishop Fred Wilson officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Interment in Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery.
