Scott was born in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania to Robert and Janice Acre. He was a graduate of Highlands High School in 1981 and served 30 years in the United States Air Force. During his service, he received his Masters of Business and Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma in 1998 and Bachelors Degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle in 1994. After retiring from the Air Force, Scott worked for the past 12 years in Logistics and Supply Management for the Air Force in Tinker Air Force Base, Wright Patterson Air Force Base and the Pentagon.
Scott married Betty in 1984 and they enjoyed 39 years together. Together they raised two daughters.
Scott enjoyed running and taking long walks on local trails. He enjoyed traveling with his family and friends, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Scott is survived by his wife, Betty, two daughters, Valerie and Heather, brother, Gary, and three grandchildren, Annalise, Lyra and Dahlia.

Scott’s memorial service will be held Monday, May 22, 2023 at the Tobias Funeral Home in Beavercreek, Ohio.
