

Scott David Ingram, 57, of Beavercreek, Ohio, was a devoted husband to Kelley Ingram and father to Sydney and Jacob Ingram. He was the son of Judith Chapman and David Ingram, stepson of Pat Ingram, and brother of Dave (Amanda) Ingram.
He is also survived by Kathy Duffy and George Duffy (mother and father-in-law), Shannon and Ryan Hoppert (sister and brother-in-law), Avery Sizemore (niece) and Austin Sizemore (spouse), Ansley Hoppert (niece), Erin and Dave Nye (sister and brother-in-law), Ellerie Nye (niece), Emsley Nye (niece), Brittney (niece) and Brock Copelend (spouse).He is also survived by numerous other extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Majorie and Robert Bowman and Otto and Mary Ingram.
Scott joined the U.S. Navy in 1988 and had an accomplished career in cryptology, communications, and intelligence. He supported Desert Shield and Desert Storm, served aboard numerous ships and submarines, qualified as an Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist and “Qualified in Submarines,” and deployed to locations including Spain, Bahrain, and Iraq. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, he led a National Intelligence Support Team providing time-sensitive intelligence to combat commanders.
Scott rose through the enlisted ranks to Chief Petty Officer before being commissioned through the Limited Duty Officer program in 2004, earning the distinction of a Navy “Mustang.” His honors included the Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal, four Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and numerous campaign medals.
Scott was a wonderful and loving husband, father, son, son-in-law, uncle, coach, friend, and will be dearly missed by all those who love him. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, basketball, and spending time with his family. Scott will also be remembered for his sense of humor and his quotes. "You be alright."
Scott passed away at home on October 1, 2026. Memorial contributions may be made to the Archbishop Carroll High School Girl's Basketball program. A visitation service will be held on Thursday, October 8th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Tobias on 3970 Dayton Xenia Road Dayton, OH 45432. The burial will be held Friday, October 9th at 9:00 am at Dayton National Cemetery on 4400 West Third Street Dayton, OH 45428. A celebration of life will immediately follow burial at the Falcon Club located at 229 Clover St., Dayton, OH 45410.
