Serena was my dear friend,

Oh, Serena.. the good times we had, the laughs we made, the things you taught us.  You were the soldier who almost took flipped a co-worker who surprised you at the elevator.   That was THE BEST.   And what you taught us about women's rights and compassion and common sense and faith.  I know you are with our Heavenly Father and the child that you lost so long ago.  Receive your Heavenly reward.   Until we meet again in that great City of God.  

Serena may be gone, but she will not be forgotten. The news of her passing was devastating. I will forever cherish the memories of our friendship. She was truly one of a kind. Rest Peacefully Serena. May God comfort your family and friends.

I can hardly express my grief over the loss of such a generous, kind person.  I've known Serena since 1996 in Los Angeles.  We shared many great times and she lived with us several times.  She was always a true friend - someone you could tell anything to without judgment.  I loved her like a sister and will miss her voice, laugh, sneeze and kind counsel.  Rest in peace my beautiful, kind, supportive friend.  I will miss you until we meet again!

 My neighbor and friend,  Serena McDonough, always had her telescope pointed at the stars. Now I'm certain she lives forever among  God's angels.  I take comfort in recalling her positive attitude, her caring compassion, her empathy for others, and her passionate faith in her Lord. For too short a time,  we shared our stories, our joys and our sorrows. That time was precious! Knowing her has been such a privilege.  Every day we were together was a better one!  I will miss her so. May her family, friends, and colleagues be comforted and find peace in each and every remembrance of Serena McDonough.

Serena although our interaction was brief it made a lasting impression on me. I thank God that I was able to get to know you and be able to pray with you and share words of encouragement. You were an angel on earth and now you’ve earned your wings. May you Rest In Peace. 🙏🏾❤️

I will truly miss my Dear Friend, Serena. God our Father, Your power brings us to birth, Your providence guides our lives, and by Your command we return to dust. I was very saddened to hear of Serena’s passing. She was very genuine and never wanted to hurt a soul. I remember taking a Leadership class with her at work and we had to give a speech, then everyone had to critique you. Serena had a hard time doing so and when she wrote her opinion, it was backed up with positive words. She will definitely be missed. My condolences to her family and prayers for Peace and Comfort for today and the days ahead. 

Serena you will be greatly missed.  I treasure the lunch time talks we had.  It was a pleasure to know you.  Rest in peace my dear friend. 

Serena was such a kind soul. I’m so grateful our paths crossed and I had the privilege of knowing her. No matter how much time had passed, she always had a hug and stories to tell. She will be missed by so many.

I was so sad to hear of Serena’s passing. We worked together for many years. My favorite memory will be how she always gave support to others that were going through hard times or had a hug for those who needed one.   My sincerest condolences to her family.
