Sharon Sue Kading

Sharon attended Centerville High School where she enjoyed being a coed. She graduated in the class of 1970. Sharon then went on to The Ohio State University, then Colorado State University where she earned her degree in Speech and Hearing. After college, Sharon began working for Reynolds & Reynolds, where she spent approximately 20 years. She also worked for PNC Mortgage for approximately 7 years. She always loved her careers and did them with the same passion she put towards everything in life.

Sharon also volunteered to be “the picture lady” while her two sons were in grammar school. She came to class with various works of art and taught all the kids about the artists and their works.

She also loved her time spent with friends and family at the neighborhood pool (Pleasant Hill Swim Club).

Sharon was an amazing woman who put everyone in her life before herself. She loved unconditionally and gave of herself generously. Always the least judgmental person in the room. She will be missed for everything she was:

A generous daughter

An ornery sister

A wonderful mother

A loving wife/partner

And an honorable human being.

Shari is preceded in death by her mother Betty Lou Pease,her father James Pease, mother in law Maxine Kading brothers in law John Savely and Gary Mertler, as well as her sister Lauren Mertler.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years Glen, Her two sons Zach (Heather)and Sean, her sister Carlyn Savely, her sister and brother in law Linda & Larry Brownson , her neises Andrea Mieding (Jason) and Beth Pokorski (Ed), her nephews Greg Mertler (Angela) and John Savely (Debbie) and her “adopted mother” Tootsie Long, as well as many other extended family members, friends neighbors and colleagues.

A gathering of family and friends for Sharon will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, Ohio 45429.
