Shirley Ann Darling

DARLING, Shirley Ann, age 61 of Kettering, OH passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013. She was a graduate of Belmont High School and attended Sinclair Community College. She was a respiratory therapist at Green Memorial Hospital and later at Miami Valley Hospital for 25 years until her retirement. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Dennie G. and Josie Maxine (Garner) Pyles. She is survived by her husband of fourteen years, Donald Darling Jr; children, Elizabeth Ann Lafferty, Joseph Dennie Newman, and Jason Everett Newman; a brother, Dennis Pyles; two sisters, Barbara Butcher and Sally Spicer; and grandchildren, Logan & Travis Lafferty, Austin Morgan, Lilli Newman, and Isabelle Hain, and Gage Everett Newman; niece, Nichole DesChapelle, husband Alex, and their daughter, Josie DesChapelle; and a nephew, Michael David Bumgardner and Jonathon & Daniel Pyles and Phillip Spicer. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Saturday, May 11, 2013 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. followed by a memorial service at 2 pm.
