

BOSWAY, Colonel (Retired) Stephen George, age 82 of Centerville, OH passed away at home on July 27 with family present. He was a graduate of the University of Dayton and veteran of the United States Army. Colonel Bosway had a distinguished military career, which included service in Korea, Vietnam, Iran, and with the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Washington, DC. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Legion of Merit. After his retirement, he taught at Tower Heights Middle School in Centerville. He is survived by his wife of over 61 years, Patricia Anderson Bosway and their four children: Stephen (Mary Jo) Huntington Beach, CA; Michael (Betsy) Indianapolis; Dana (Jim) Gentile, Westerville, OH; William (Mary) Western Springs, IL; ten grandchildren: Matthew (Abbigail), Adam, Meredith, Andrew, Thomas, Nicholas, Anna, Lauren, Nathan, Rachel, and one great granddaughter, Reagan. He is also survived by his siblings, Mary Ann Zsebedics and Don Bosway as well as brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bill and Ruth Anderson and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Monday, July 31, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 9579 Yankee St., Springboro, Ohio 45066. Father Jim Manning Celebrant. Friends may call from 5-7 pm Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the Tobias Funeral Home-Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Dayton National Cemetery.
