LEWIS, Steve C., age 91 passed away Monday, April 1st, 2013 at Heartland of Centerville. Steve was born on October 7th, 1921 in McCreay County, Kentucky to the late Steve M. and Mary Etta England Lewis. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gurstle Lewis. Steve is survived by his wife of 35 years, Geneva Courtney Lewis; children, Wayne D. (Nancy) Lewis of Kettering, Steve (Sandy) Lewis of Willis TX, Terry (Patty) Lewis of Stanfield NC, and Judy (John) Danishek of Centerville; step-children, Charles (Debbie) Turner of Jackson MI, Michael Turner of Kettering, and Linda (David) Benson of Waynesville OH; 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a brother, Lester (Donna) Lewis of Dayton; two nieces and two nephews. Steve was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII earning 2two Bronze Stars, and retired from Standard Register after 45 years. He was a member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene previously served in churches as a Sunday School Teacher, Choir Director and member/soloist. His great humor was enjoyed by his family and friends, Steve never met a stranger an everyone was greeted by his strong handshake, He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and will be missed by all. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, April 5th, 2013 at the Parkview Church of the Nazarene, 4701 Far Hills Ave., Dayton OH 45429, with the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Ron Justice officiating.
