Teresa Iglesias

María Teresa Iglesias died peacefully in her sleep on October 19, ,2023 in Kettering , Ohio. Maite, as she was known to her family and friends, was born in Madrid, Spain. She attended college in Spain where she obtained her teaching degree. After marrying Jorge, the love of her life, they moved to the United States to begin their teaching carriers. Maite taught high school Spanish in Florida before moving to Springfield, Ohio where she taught high school Spanish until her retirement. After retirement, she enjoyed tutoring individuals in Spanish and sharing Spanish culture with them

Maite was a talented seamstress who took pride in creating unique pieces for her wardrobe. She was strong in her Catholic faith and was very devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary. She is preceded in death by her husband Jorge, her siblings as well as her parents. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am at St. Charles Borromeo Church and will be officiated by Father Javier Alson.
