
Thelma L. (Smyth) Alexander, 90, passed away December 16, 2014, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Rochester, Michigan. Born in Fixer, Kentucky, she was a Dayton resident for nearly 70 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Evan Alexander in 2000. They worked together at Alexander Realty Company for more than 50 years.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter Evelyn (John) Strader, two grandchildren Christina (Tom) Justice and Daniel (Nicole) Strader and four great-grandchildren: Andrew Justice, Thomas Strader, John Strader and Katherine Justice. She is also survived by her sister, Tryphena Smyth, sisters-in-law Ina Smyth and Ruth Smyth; nieces Debra College and Pam Smyth and nephew Delmar (Sonny) Smyth. Her parents, Archie and Ida Smyth, brothers Delmar and Emil Smyth and sister Naomi Wingate Williams preceded her.
Visitation will be Sunday December 21 at 2 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home Belmont Chapel 648 Watervliet Ave Dayton, Ohio 45420 followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m. with Pastor Randy Coleman officiating.
