Tim was born on November 19, 1967, in Dayton, Ohio, to Theodore and MaryLou Russell.
He graduated from Beavercreek High School in 1987 and jumped right into boot camp for the U.S. Army, proudly serving his country as an engineer before receiving an honorable discharge. Following his military service, he worked as a skilled handyman and ran his own business, Russell Remodeling. He also followed his passion for teaching, becoming a beloved instructor known as "Profe Timo" at Sinclair Community College.
Outside of work, Tim lived life to the fullest. He loved nothing more than hitting the open road on his Harley-Davidson, rocking out to 80s music, and showing off his moves dancing salsa.
He was the devoted father to Ashley, Bailey, Riley, Roger and Yarilo, and a proud "Grampa" to Melody, Theo and Katarina Luna. He is also survived by his six siblings, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Tim was a man of little patience but an incredibly big heart. As he always liked to say, he truly carried his heart on his sleeve. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Viewing services will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton Xenia Rd, Dayton, OH 45432, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
