Tom was a great friend and musician. Always ready to jam, many times he couldn't tell you the name of the song, because he didn't need to know it. He was that good ! We spent many hours together on the road so I heard lots of good stories. Certainly Tom was one of the most dedicated musicians I've ever known. His passing will leave many of us with sadness, but also great memories, for the rest of our lives. Fare the well my brother.

I am very saddened by Tom's passing; it is such a loss for his family & friends, our band and the Dayton music scene that he was a part of for decades.

We had some wonderful musical memories playing together in Terrapin Moon for nearly 10 years. The band and I will miss him dearly. Fare thee well, Tom.

Tom Unterborn. He was kind and friendly as a person. A great musician he was as well. He played many instruments, but his ability to listen and HEAR the subtleties was extraordinary. On the bass, whether he knew the song well or not at all, he could follow anytime and most times, he was tailgating! Not sure how he did it, but literally any song , he could play right along with, rarely making a mistake. He knew a lot about a lot and he was always willing, sometimes even anxious, to show you or teach you. He will be missed by many. Condolences go out to all of you! RiP Tom Unterborn (DeadTom)
