She is survived by her mother Deema Bailey, her step mother Gaye Barrnett and her four children, Joel Matthew Long, Tyler Keith Long, Adam Jacob Long, and Mackalla Anne Long, along with her five grandchildren: Audrina Eileen Long, Quinn Elise Long, Kaden Alexander Long, Rowan Virgil Cain Long, and Easton Keith Long.
A few words or short paragraphs cannot describe her or the impact that she made in this world. As a strong, brave, powerful, and beautiful woman that had the ability to change the world, Tonie raised her children to be honorable and good people, passing her strength along with her wisdom and perseverance. She was a mother to any one whom she came into contact with, whether they knew they needed it or not. With a charitable and selfless character, she achieved something most people could only hope to. Knowing how to show love, she lived that way every day. Tonie’s loyalty and support for her family was unparalleled.
Tonie was, first and foremost, a mother and grandmother, her pride and joy always came from her children and grandchildren, often speaking of them with high praise and fondness. Tonie found peace in knowing that those she cared for were taken care of. All who entered her home found comfort in her willingness to listen and give advice. Never expecting anything in return, Tonie would give gifts to others and was humbled when she was given a gift. A great sense of humor and a smile were enough to light up the world around her. Tonie’s quick wittedness and infectious laughter could easily bring a room together. She could touch the life of anyone so simply and completely.
Though the world was not always the kindest to her and her heart, Tonie did not let this stop her from truly making life better, and her impact will withstand long after she is gone.
