Una Marie Sheard

SHEARD, Una M. age 99, formerly of Whitesburg, KY, Jackson, Dayton and more recently of Englewood, OH passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Bethany Village(Graceworks) Lutheran Services in Dayton, OH. Una was born in Whitesburg, KY on October 23, 1922 to Nelson and Mary (nee Combs) Spangler. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Donald E. Sheard in 2009; five brothers, George Spangler of MayKing, KY, Gordon Spanglerof Medway, Robert Spangler of Dayton, Cullen Spangler of New Carlisle and Richard Spangler of Medway; four sisters; Maggie Collier, Minnie Croft of MayKing, KY, Margie Short of New Albany, IN and Clara Hobbs of Troy. Una is survived by one daughter, Cathy M. (nee Sheard) Spriggs of Dayton; one son, Steven E. & Lisa V. Sheard of FL; four grandchildren, Aaron Spriggs, Brittany Spriggs, Christopher Sheard & Jenna Sheard; 4 great grandchildren, Logan Spriggs, MacKenzie Spriggs, Henry Johnston (Spriggs) and Susan Johnston (Spriggs); one sister, Laura Vann of New Carlisle; several life-long friends; Many nieces and nephews. Una was retired from Lazarus in Dayton. The family would like to thank Brookdale, Hospice of Dayton and Bethany Village for their care and support.
