VINEYARD, Vernon J. “Jeff”, age 66 of Tipp City, passed away after a short battle with lymphoma Wednesday, July 1, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents Vernon (Patsy) Vineyard and Roberta “Ruth” Kennedy (John). He is survived by his spouse, Jennifer Haralson, his children, Kristina (Mark) Vineyard, Sean (Jeanelle) Vineyard, Dianna (John) Outten, Joshua Haralson, Anna Haralson, grandchildren A. Kobe Vineyard, Corine Outten, Alayna Vineyard and Dean Outten, his siblings, Ronnette “Roni” Trulson (DeRon), John Kennedy, Charles Kennedy and Joni (John) Kreuser, Vicki (Nancy) Vineyard, Patti Thompson.
Jeff’s career as a civil servant for the USAF spanned nearly 34 years. He retired in July of 2013. During his time at WPAFB, he reveled in a multitude of leadership positions. He was always ready and willing to mentor and inspire new co-workers and interns. The time he spent in the B-2 office was the highlight of his career. His knowledge and understanding made him a great asset to many programs.
His passions included many forms of exercise and fitness such as soccer, taekwondo and weightlifting. He was always ready to go on adventures while traveling all over the world, especially if he could take his loved ones along. His endless and unconditional love for his wife and each and every one of his children and grandchildren knew no bounds. He will be remembered for his excellent advice, sentimentality and contagious appreciation of music.
A social distancing visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the Tobias Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. A memorial service will be held at 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Masks and social distancing are requested.
