Ginny was my grandma. She was the best grandma a guy could ask for. She always had these weird chocolate mints, and chocolate soda at their house. It’s a flavor you didn’t expect and it stuck with me. 

My parents would drop us off in Dayton and go on vacation. We’d spend about a week there every summer. Grandma was wicked at Tennis, great at Bridge, and super fashionable for a grandma. She was Vera Bradley before Vera Bradley was cool. OG! She was a peaceful lady, I think that’s where my dad got it from. Every 10 years the family would meet up at some vacation spot for their anniversary and I tell you what. Grandma and Grandpa wrote the book on love. 65+ years! We’ve been to Seabrook, Hilton Head, Outer banks, and the last one was in Dayton as it was too hard for them to travel. Every Xmas they’d come to Georgia to visit my parents. As you get older you maybe don’t call as much as you’d like. But it was great to see them at least once a year like clockwork.  I love my grandparents very much and I have a lifetime full of memories with them. I’m going to miss Grandma very much. They loved me, my wife and my kids very much. Their dedication to family is enviable! 
I hope I will live up to that standard when I get get to grandparent age! 
The best Grandma there is and she will he missed deeply!

I was blessed to have Jinny as my mother in law.  She was kind, witty and welcomed me and my children as part of her family. 
   We would share books and chat about them as we both enjoyed reading.  I always looked forward to seeing her at Christmas for their annual visit.   I also enjoyed talking to her about her unique choice of earrings . ☺ She was a true "Lady"
