WHITING, Wayne E., age 69 of Dayton, passed away Monday, April 27, 2015 at Kettering Medical Center. Wayne was born on July 30, 1945 in Hillsboro, Ohio to the late Delbert and Mary Ruth Sheeley Whiting. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Sturdivant. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Melita Frederick Whiting; sons, Darrin (Laura) and Eric (Erika); and three grandchildren, Jacob, Kristin and Alexander. Wayne was a 1963 graduate of Fairmont, served in the Army Reserve, and retired after 38 years with Western Southern Life Insurance Company. He was also a member of Far Hills Lodge F & AM and Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton.
