William "Bill" Cecil Chandler

CHANDLER, William Cecil (Bill), age 89, of Riverside passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015. He was preceded in death by parents William and Nelia Chandler. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Justine Chandler and 6 siblings: Walter Chandler, Carl Chandler, Garnet Pack, Gertrude Pyles, Pauline Freauf, and Maxine Ruby. He is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara L. & Ronald J. Stauffer, Connie S. & James M. (Mike) Snead; Grandchildren: Jeff Stauffer & his wife Sharon, Tim Stauffer, Jason Snead, and Ashley Snead; Great-grandson Cody Stauffer; 4 siblings: Howard Chandler, Homer Chandler, Darlene Clevenger, and Clarence Chandler; also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Bill was a longtime member of the Faith Baptist Church; a Mason (Beaver Valley Lodge), a member of the Scottish Rite, and served our country in the US Army. Bill retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad and Beavercreek and Kettering Boards of Education. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing, hunting, traveling around the country in his RV, and driving Alter students to sporting events. Bill lived his life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held 1PM Monday, November 2, 2015 at Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Pastor Gary Favor officiating. Interment Valley View Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit from 2-5PM Sunday, November 1st at the funeral home.
