CAHOON, William J., Jr., age 86 of Centerville, passed away Monday August 18, 2014 at his residence. William was born on August 29, 1927 in Houghton MI to the late William J. and Ruth Smothers Cahoon, Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley; and his sisters, Sister Mary Odile Cahoon, Sister Janelle Cahoon and Aileen (George) Coon. He is survived by three children, David (Nancy) Cahoon, Marjory (Brad) Chamberlain, and James Cahoon; grandchildren, Audrey Chamberlain, and Amanda, Matthew and Curt Cahoon. William was an Army Veteran of WWII, Graduate of Michigan Tech, and employed as an engineer for both G.E. Jet Engines and Astronautics Corp. of America where he later retired. He was a member of Incarnation Parish, Hithergreen Cyclepaths Bicycle Club, and the American Helicopter Society.
