William Dallas Steele

Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Gail Marie (Gustafson) Steele, his sisters, Sandra (Steele) McPhaden and the late Roger McPhaden, Barbara (Steele) Steele-Trower and the late Joseph Trower, and Jacqueline (Steele) and the late Charles Duryea. Brother in law Richard Gustafson and his wife Janet (Lucas) Gustafson, sister in law April (Gustafson) Cook and her husband Gary Cook, sister in law Cheryl (Pfeiffer) Gustafson. Numerous beloved nephews and nieces and great nephews and great nieces.

Bill was born and grew up in Meadville PA, where he was an avid baseball player. He enlisted in the Army during the Vietnam war, stationed in Germany. After receiving his degree in Economics from Edinboro University, Bill was commissioned in the AF. While stationed at Hanscom AFB MA, he met his wife Gail, and was married 19 Apr 85. A talented singer and guitar and banjo player, Bill was a member of the musical group Recycled Folk. Bill and Gail enjoyed taking their dogs Dutchess and Libby hiking at local parks.
