

Bill was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Ella Turner, and sister Eva Edwards.
Bill is survived by his wife Anne of 34 years, daughter Laura Weber (husband David), son Woody Turner (wife Gloria) and daughter Amy Linville; grandchildren Lauren Turner (husband Thom Gagen), Dakota Linville, Madison Linville and great-granddaughter, Autumn Linville. Bill was the third of nine children, brothers Robert, Leonard, David, Mark, Jerry, and sisters Rose, Eva, and Lillian.
Bill was a 30-year decorated war veteran of the United States Marine Corps who served in WWII, Korea, Bay of Pigs Cuban Missile Crisis, and Vietnam. He enlisted on October 7, 1942, and retired February 1, 1974. During his service Bill received two Purple Hearts, two Bronze Stars, and several other medals and commendations. After his military retirement, Bill served the United States Postal Service as a carrier in Dayton, Ohio for 18 years.
Bill faithfully served his country and community. He did not know a stranger. Bill is loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
Bill will be interred in the Sarasota National Cemetery in Florida.
