First off, I am sorry for your loss.  I noticed Mr. Nixon's obituary said he was survived by a son named Wilson Paul Nixon.  I was very close friends with a Wilson Paul Nixon back in the 1990's and I lost touch with him.  Since then, I have been looking everywhere for this specific Wilson Paul Nixon and I am hoping you could varify if this is the same person I have been searching for.  The Wilson Paul Nixon I speak of lived in Lexington, Kentucky in 1997 or 1998 and worked for a department store called McAlpins selling men's shoes.  He then moved to Owensboro, Kentucky to be a manager of a McAlpins out there.  If this is the same man, I would love to reconnect with him. It is a wonderful thing to know that Al loved The Lord...and far more importantly, to know that The Lord loves Him. 
 The family and friends will all miss this wonderful man. I know that he infused his grandchildren with a lot of love and depth that has begun to shape their lives. Just found out about Al's passing. I would like to express my sincere sympathy to his children and family, and will pray for him to rest at peace in Heaven. I worked with Al several years while he was at AFCESA and at Oak Ridge. It was a pleasure knowing and working with him, and having him as a friend. He was always optimist, upbeat, and had a great sense of humor. We had some great times traveling together. I haven't seen or talked to him in several years, but I will miss him, and will never forget him.

I was so sorry to hear of Allen's passing, but, Rejoice, he is with his Lord and we will all see him again one day.  Kathy, David, Abby, Lauren and Al, I know you will miss your Dad/ Grand-daddy, but take comfort knowing that all is well with him in Heaven.

I knew Allen all through elementary school and high school - what a guy he was!  There are never enough words to  express sympathy to family members in times like this but rest assured that Allen was loved and respected by those of us who knew him and he will be remembered with joy in our hearts.  May he rest in peace and may you all rest in knowing that he will be waiting on you until you meet again!

My sincerest sympathies to you all. As soon as I could get prayers out to God on behalf of Allen, I did. I had my church family and others begin to prayer and share love for Allen. I was fortunate to have "met" Allen through a very close friend of mine.  Allen and I spoke about life, faith and the love of who we are in this life with. The prayer crew prayed for Allen and we are still praying for you all. He is with God now and bless his memory always.

Hi to all of the family.  Gloria and I were very sorry to hear of the passing of Allan.  I didn't realize that his name was Wilson Allen Nixon, or W. A. Nixon,  and that tells me that he was named after PaPa Nixon.  Two really fine guys.

As one of Allen's classmates and friends at Carrollton High School, I offer my sincere sympathy to his family.  I am thankful that our class of 1964 had an opportunity to say hello to him on 9/10.  He sounded happy to hear from us.  It is a cherished memory for me. Love and peace to each of you.

While we rejoice that Allen is now in Heaven, we are saddened for the loss to those who loved him.  Always remember that the separation is only temporary!  God bless you each and may it be of some small comfort to know that others care and are praying for you.

My sympathy to the entire family.  I went to church, Antioch, with both Allen and Carol.  Our families visited back & forth with the Nixons' on many occasions and Allen and I were friends for a very long time.  He will be deeply missed, even though I didn't see him much through the years.

I remember Allen from grammar school and high school days. He was always the boy you wanted to dance with, and every girl had a crush on him in the 7th grade. He grew up to be a real gentleman and the world is now short one of the white hat heroes. My condolences to the family.

Dear Kathy, David and Paul: Susie and I were shocked to see in the Panama City newspaper today where Al had passed away Friday. Our friendship with your dad goes back to the early 70s when we met and we worked at HQ AFCESA on Tyndall AFB; and we later worked together in Oak Ridge TN for several years. I consider him to be a true friend; someone who I could turn to in time of need and depend on him to be there to help. Your dad, my friend, will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

My dear Uncle Allen was a blast to be around. Whenever he came to visit, you could rest assured there was a good time to be had. There would be plenty of talk and lots of laughter. He would reminisce at length about days gone by and remind you of things that you had long forgotten. It was always good stuff; stuff you wanted to remember and that made you feel good. When Allen would tell it, it was infinitely better  than anyone else could tell it. Your mouth would water as he described the food eaten; your heart would swell as he would describe the people and places and times and most of all the laughter would be flushed out of everyone.
 One was inclined to indulge a bit when Allen was around because it was likely to be a long night - A long fun enjoyable night - and the next day you weren't tired simply because there was still so much good vibrations in the air. Allen loved people and he loved all of his family and  he loved to let the good times roll. When I think of Allen I just want to smile. I would say that is a great legacy to leave behind. He will be missed by many and forgotten by none.
