Mrs Winifred V Parenteau

PARENTEAU, Winifred, 95 of Bethany Lutheran Village, Centerville, Ohio, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother departed this world March 2, 2017. Winne was born in Connellsville, PA, August 18, 1921 to Frank and Mabel McCairns, 1 of 4 daughters. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James Parenteau, her parents Frank and Mabel McCairns, one sister Isabelle Miller, one grandson Andrew Bruck and her son-in-law, Dr. Ronald E. Bruck. She is survived by one daughter, Ann Bruck, one son Frank Parenteau and wife Rusty; three grandchildren, Christopher Bruck and wife Juline; Kristine Parenteau; James Parenteau and wife Maria and four great grandchildren, Jenny and Amy Bruck; Lilly Records and Jackson Lewis Parenteau; two sisters, Muriel Tisdel and Marjorie Shrum. Winnie was a member of the Fairborn St. Luke United Methodist Church for 57 years and the Ruth Guild. She was a twenty year member of the Shooting Stars Square Dance Club, and secretary at Central Junior High School in Fairborn, Ohio. She volunteered for 17 years at Children’s Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio at the reception desk and was a member of the Pinnacle Club. Funeral Services will be 1 pm Friday, March 17, 2017 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave at Rahn Road, Dayton, OH 45429. Frank E. Parenteau, Pastor of Encouragement, Church for Family, Beaumont, CA officiating. Entombment, at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm. If desired memorial contributions can be made to Fairborn St. Luke United Methodist Church or Bethany Lutheran Village. Winnie was a proud and patriotic American.
