Allen J. Petty

Decatur, Alabama

Allen John Petty passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the age of 84. Mr. Petty is a Korean War veteran with the US Army. He was a graduate of Belmont College. He was retired from Associates Finance. Mr. Petty was a member of Parkview Baptist Church for the past 15 years. He loved working in his yard and he loved to golf. Mr. Petty is preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Greer and brother, Paul Petty.

Survivors include his wife, Jamie R. Petty of Decatur, AL; daughter, Cindy (C.J.) May of Franklin, TN; son, Rick Petty of Decatur, AL; brothers, Robert Petty of Crossville, TN and Herbert Petty of McEwen, TN; sister, Anne Kessler of Nashville, TN; granddaughters, Jessica (Sean) Cornett and Jennifer (Ben) Sharp and great-grandsons, Carter and Brady Cornett.

A Celebration of Life will be Friday, May 26, 2017 at 2:00pm at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Evans officiating. A time of visitation will be Friday from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Parkview Baptist Church Building Fund.
