Ann Garrett

A visitation for Ann will be held Friday, January 24, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery.

Ann L. Garrett is survived by Valorie Jones - daughter, Melissa Lyda - daughter, (Neil), Nick Jones - grandson (Hailey), Jill Lewis - granddaughter (Dee), Jessica Lingle - granddaughter, 4 great grandsons and many, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by James Kenneth Garrett (Jimmy) - husband, Susie Anna Smith - Mother, Henry Evie Smith - Father, 5 brothers and 6 sisters.

Pallbearers will be Nick Jones, Evan Jones, Gabe Jones, Charlie Myrick, Neil Lyda & John Lyda

Our Mother was beautiful, smart, funny, fashionable and strong. She was the second youngest of twelve brothers and sisters. She and her siblings were very close and all enjoyed sharing their wonderful family stories throughout the years. She had a caring, generous heart and prayed continuously for others. She loved watching Alabama football and keeping informed on news and current events. She enjoyed decorating her home, planting flowers and keeping her lawn neat and pretty. She managed her household meticulously. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were loved unconditionally. She was adored and cherished and we will miss her terribly, but we know she’s at peace now.
