Ms. Godfrey was my fifth grade teacher in the 1954-1955 school year. We started the school year at Somerville Road Elementary School and later moved to the new Walter Jackson Elementary School. Because of Ms. Godfrey, it was one of my best school years. Ms.Godfrey was kind, helpful, and a joy to have as a teacher. She ran a good classroom and was well respected by her students.

I send my condolences to her family and friends.

Ms. Godgrey was one of my favorite teachers. She was one of my 4th Grade teachers and is part of my fondest memories from grade school. I have often and recently spoke fondly of her and all she stood for. She was a great teacher and person. She will be greatly missed.
