Barbara Faye Agee

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ulyess Gilbert Berryman and Jimmie Burgess Berryman of Leighton, Alabama

She was born in Leighton on October 24, 1936.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 60 years, Fred J. Agee; daughters, Susan Agee Day (Jeff) of Decatur, Al. and Cynthia Agee Johnson (Glenn) of Mt. Airy, Maryland; grandchildren Austin Day, Elizabeth Day, Stephen Katonka and Eddie Katonka; and brother Ralph Berryman (Yvlette).

Barbara graduated from Colbert County High School where she was the Salutatorian of the class of 1955. After graduating she attended The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority.

Barbara loved golf. She was a member of the Ladies Golf Association at Decatur Country Club for over 40 years and was a member of the ladies division of the Alabama Senior Golf Association for over 20 years.

Graveside Service will be Monday February 12, 2018 at 11:15 am at Decatur City Cemetery. Burial will follow. Visitation will be Sunday February 11, 2018 at Roselawn Funeral Home from 4pm until 6pm. The body will lie-in-state from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home prior to going to the cemetery for the graveside service.

Pallbearers will be LaRue Amos, Jim Johnson, Jim Gillespie, Johnny Berryman, James Berryman, Austin Day, Stephen Katonka and Eddie Katonka.

In lieu of flowers the family respectively requests donations be made to the building fund of First United Methodist Church, 805 Canal St. NE Decatur, Al. 35601; Hospice of North Alabama, 3311 Bob Wallace Avenue, Suite 101, Huntsville, Al. 35805 or to the charity of your choice.
