Barbara Blackwell Atkinson, 82, of Leeds was born October 6, 1929, to Damon and Anna Blackwell. She died July 12, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, William Harold Atkinson; sisters, Evelyn Sharp and Betty Johnson; children, Susan Nichols (Ralph), Steve (Dora) and Robin (Katrina); eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 14, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
