Barbara Watson Blanton (Bobs), 89, of Moulton passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur. Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00 with Dr. Bob Walker officiating. She will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery Garden of Honor.
Barbara was born in Lawrence County on December 17, 1935, to the late James Albert and Vera Hill Watson. Barbara retired from TVA where she was the Senior Secretary to Site Engineering Manager. She was a member at Beltline Church of Christ and loved her three cats and two dogs. She enjoyed riding around on her golf cart, conducting “burns” in the firepit, and taking care of her plants.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Mitchell of Decatur; son, Greg Gann (Missy) of Decatur; sisters, Rena Sapp Jordan of Moulton, and Ruth Tritt of Akron, Ohio. Grandchildren Cody (Jessica) Mitchell, Will (Emily) Gann, Anna Claire Gann, Josh Gann and Great Granddaughter, Natalie Mitchell.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larry Blanton; her brothers, Kenneth Watson and Benton Watson; and sister Juanita Lowry.
Pallbearers will be Cody Mitchell, Will Gann, Josh Gann, Larry Watson, Colin Pitts, and Preston Peete. Honorary Pallbearer is Mr. Art Moss.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Beltline Church of Christ in Decatur.
