Bertha Shelton Thompson, age 93 of Hartselle, Al passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. She was born January 1, 1918 in Trinity, Alabama to Olin and Gracie Shelton. She was a member of the Baptist Church and was retired from Goodyear Tire.
The visitation will be Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Roselawn Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Walter Blackman. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her sons, Harold Garner (Evelyn) and Oakley Harry Garner (Jane); daughter, June Worthey; step-daughter, Betty Ann Alford; sister, Earlene Hardin (Edsel); grandchildren, Lisa Smith, Cherie Humphries, Carl Garner, Amy Garner and Tanya Garner; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
