Betty was a graduate of Decatur High School in 1966. She retired from General Electric after a long career at the age of 71. She loved her son and grandchildren with all of her heart. When Perry was a kid, her favorite thing to do on the weekends was to take him to Mando's pizza and the movies. She continued that tradition with her grandchildren. As they got older, they would come see her at her home on 10th Ave on the weekends and play board games, especially Sorry. She lived in Decatur at her home on 10th Ave the majority of her life. Her last year she moved to City Center Village Assisted Living. She loved her little apartment. She made many friends there and enjoyed playing Bingo and winning prizes. Betty had a heart of gold and was a very generous person who did everything she could to help her friends and family.

No funeral services are scheduled at this time. The family will gather for a private graveside service at a later date.
