Jo grew up in Decatur and retired from Athens State College as a Professor and the Head of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.
She loved the Lord, her family, friends and her students.
Jo is survived by her sister, Edna Morris (Thomas); many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, February 23, 2018 at 11 am at Roselawn Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Sims officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
