Funeral services for Billy Lynn Barkley will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home. Viewing will be Friday February 16, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral will be held on Saturday February 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
Mr. Barkley passed away Monday February 12, 2018 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born February 6, 1934 to Birtie Sims Barkley and Johnny Barkley in Madison, AL.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years Pete Barkley, one daughter Donna Barkley Traylor (John Michael Traylor), two sons, “Cubby” Billy Patrick Barkley, and Tab Brooks Barkley. Mr. Barkley also had six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Waits, Aaron Barkley, Logan Barkley, Mike Traylor, Chad Vickers and Phillip Brownell.
Mr. Barkley was a Military Police officer in the U.S. Army. He later retired from Monsanto as a Senior Research Chemist.
Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Roselawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
