Bobby "Bob" Ray Sellers was born in Charlotte North Carolina on October 17,1937. Bob retired early from what is now Regions bank with the title of president of the Regions banks located in Chilton County Alabama. He then started another career as a rental property owner which provided both income and something to keep him busy during retirement.
Bob passed away peacefully Thursday October 2nd after a year-long battle with MDS blood cancer. Thankfully Bob spent less than 24 hours bedridden due to the excellent care given by Cornerstone Caregiving, Compassus Hospice, and Bob's friend Tanya "Yve" Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Belah Burton Sellers and Mary Wright Sellers; wife Joyce McDonald Sellers; and son Bobby Ray Sellers Jr. Bob is survived by his son Spencer Holden Sellers (Holly) and grandsons Spencer Holden Sellers Jr. (Tarra), Lucas McDonald Sellers, and Jay Coulter Sellers.
A graveside service for Bob will be held Friday, October 10, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 709 Memorial Drive SW, Decatur, AL 35601.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
