A Celebration of Life for Bula O. Cockrell, 91, of Decatur, will be Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 11:00 am at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Buddy Perkins officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Ms. Cockrell passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 at her residence.
Ms. Cockrell was born November 26, 1923 in Alabama to Elbert T. and Flonnie Mae Barnes Butts. She was a member of the Assembly of God in Hanceville, AL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers, 1 sister and 2 sons.
She is survived by her son: Jackie W. Cockrell (Joan), daughter: Yvonne McCormick (Roger), sister: Linda Smith, 10 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 step-great-grandchild, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
