Ellen: I'm Ava, the youngest daughter of Lynn Cross. I'm so sorry to hear of Cary's passing. He was such a dear person, so likeable by everyone. He was a dear friend to my Dad and to my brother, Wayland--the fishing stories that they could tell!!! I live in Jackson, Tn, and met you last Christmas at my sister's in Rogersville, Al. I have been in Arizona--new grandson--since Monday. If I weren't here, I would have definitely been at the funeral. But, today, my thoughts are with you.

Bankhead, you and your family are in my prayers. I remember you and myself riding that motorcycle from Decatur to Courtland to see your parents. That was so many years ago. Your father helped me with a voting issue once. You had already moved to Texas. It had to do with farming and I called him. I voted his way.
