I was blessed to have known Charles since 1989.  He was a good supervisor and became a wonderful friend as time progressed.  His love for the Lord was a beacon for all whom crossed his path. Till we meet again Godspeed my brother.

So very sorry to hear this news, my husband Brad and I both knew Charlie well from working with him at Limestone.  He was an excellent officer, supervisor and had a gift for training others.   He was strong in his faith in the Lord and didn’t mind sharing it with others .  Prayers for his family, he will be greatly missed.

To know Charlie Blevins was a great pleasure.  Charlie and I started Academy together and worked 2 major prisons together.  You could always count on Charlie to be beside you and not behind you when the going got rough.
Charlie was a good Christian man and helpful to everyone he was around.  He loved his family, friends, and coworkers very much. Really sad that he passed at this stage of his life. We will all miss him very much.

Charles was a friend and a professional work associate. I have known Charlie since 1984 when we were in our 20's and hard working CO's opening Limestone up and bringing her out of the Red Mud. What a great time we knew. We were all brothers in blue. We stuck together and we took care of each other. Something I hear they have lost, but hope not cause there is nothing in life has nice has a team working together for a higher place and what is right. Charles was a good Christian Officer and Captain. He will be missed. Charles also worked several years in Training with my wife Retired Captain Donna Wise. Captain Charles Blevins  was a great leader and mentor. You could always count on Capt. Blevins for good advise and help when you needed it.  He will be truly missed and not forgotten by many.

Charlie, as I called him and I go back a long way within the Department of Corrections. We where co-workers and later friends.  I came out of Training and he entered the training fields. We talked a lot over the years, we grew close. My heart is heavy for the loss of a good Christian man and a friend. He was a champion with his staff always willing to lend a hand or speak to you about the God and Christ he loved so much. We will meet again in the house not made with hands eternal in the Heavens. I will miss you my friend.
