Clarence (Chip) Perry Gillespie III, 61, passed away on Saturday, February 25 at his home in Decatur, AL. Visitation will be held from 9:30AM-10:30AM on Tuesday, February 28 at Fairview Baptist Church in Decatur, AL, with a memorial service at 10:30AM to follow.

Chip was born in Birmingham, AL on May 5, 1955. He graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in Chemistry.
Chip and Kristy married on December 27, 1986, and shared 30 wonderful years together.
He enjoyed working for Packaging Corporation of America.
He was an avid Alabama football fan, with South Alabama football as a close second.
Chip is survived by his wife Kristy, his daughter Mary, his son Matthew, 4 grandchildren Dylan, Gracie, Mackenzie, Madeline, 3 sisters Renee Tucker (Jerry), Vicki Lawson (Dennis), Heidi Gillespie, 2 brothers Larry Robbins ( Joy), and Scott Robbins ( Jean). He was preceded in death by his parents C.P. Gillespie, Jr. and Hazel and Elwin Robbins.
