Funeral for Debbie Sutton, 59, of Madison will be today, January 31, 2011, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Decatur, in Stephenson Chapel with Dr. Lex Bowen and the Rev. Roger Jenkins officiating. Visitation will be today at 12:30 p.m.
until time of service in the chapel.
Mrs. Sutton, who died Friday, January 28, 2011, in Jackson, Tenn., was born March 2, 1951, in Little Rock, Ark. to the late Rev. Cooper Marshall and Margaret Marshall. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Decatur, graduate of Carson-Newman College and former high school English teacher. She had a passion for teaching music to children and church drama.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, David Sutton; two sons, Marshall and Michael Sutton; one daughter, Amanda Davis; mother, Margaret Marshall; two sisters, Elaine Raulerson and Cynthia Marshall; grandson, Cooper Sutton.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Hagen, Marvin Eaton, Larry Mauldin, Ralph Hamn, Bill Hutson and Jim Denton.
In lieu of flowers, donate to the Carson-Newman Acappella Choir or the National Kidney Foundation .
