Don F. Nelson, 83, passed away peacefully at home February 10, 2026. 

He was survived by his wife, Betty Lou Sledge Nelson; daughters, Suzanne Nelson and Merry Nelson Albro (Mike); and granddaughter Jolie Albro. 

He retired as a machinist from Wolverine Tube after 35 years and then sold cars; his favorite past time for Smith Motors. 

Visitation will be Friday, February 13, 2026 starting at 2pm at Roselawn Funeral Home with the service to follow at 3pm. 

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate care and support
