Deree is survived by daughter, Mindi Russell of Decatur; brother, Wathan Fielding (Sonja); niece, Brandi Fielding; great-niece, Lotus Fielding.
She was preceded in death by mother, Elizabeth Coffey Fielding and father, Wilburn Fielding.
Deree was born in Decatur, AL and graduated from Decatur High School in 1965. She was a devoted mother. She worked for Copeland Corporation for over 30 years retiring in 2011.
In addition to her career in Quality Assurance and devotion to her daughter, she was a very creative person. Deree loved to paint, draw, knit, and crochet. She will be remembered for her creative spirit, love of laughter, and encouragement of others. Those that knew her would say she was an amazing listener and storyteller.
A celebration of life for Deree will be Saturday at 2 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home located at 741 Danville Rd SW Decatur, AL 35601 on October 18th, 2025 with Pastor Johnny Maxwell officiating.
