Dorothy Wilson McDaniel

Funeral for Dorothy Wilson McDaniel, 89, of Decatur will be Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Charles E. Maples officiating. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. McDaniel, who died Monday, July 11, 2011, at her residence, was born May 19, 1922, in Elkton, Tenn., to Ollie and Alma Wilson. She was retired from Huntsville Manufacturing. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Patricia Suggs; son-in-law, Hillard Suggs; sister, Elise Long; and brother, Wayne Wilson.

Survivors include two sons, Gerald (Judy) Turner and Bobby (Suzanne) Turner, both of Decatur; one daughter, Nancy (Red) Allen of Madison; her companion, Maggie; one sister, Avis Baucom of Guntersville; grandchildren, Kenny, Randy and Ricky Suggs, Steve and Chris Owen, Connie Bradford and Teresa Agerton, and Cathy Lawrence; and great-grandchildren, Chad and Chris Suggs and Bonnie Bradford; and special friends, Helen Walter, Judy Russell, Donna Eaton and Sandy McClesky; and a special thanks to Margie Watlington.

Pallbearers will be friends.
