Elaine Neicie Cox, 88, of Decatur, passed away May 29, 2016. The Visitation for Mrs. Cox will be Wednesday, June 1, from 1 – 2 p.m. in the chapel at Roselawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2 p.m.
Elaine served the City of Decatur Schools as a cafeteria worker for 25 years, after which she enjoyed spending her afternoons watching Atlanta Braves baseball, and cooking and spending time with her family.
Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, John and Maude Sledge; husband, Gilbert Cox; and eight siblings.
She is survived by her son, Tim Cox (Melissa); daughter, Debbie Cox Parker (Kenny); grandchildren, Jenna, Chloe, Olivia, and Nicolette; and step-grandchildren, Meagan and Shannon.
