Elizabeth Hodges Street, 94, passed away at midnight on Friday, October 26, 2012, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Steve Chandler officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Elizabeth was born March 26, 1918, in Limestone County. She was a long time member of Beltline Church of Christ. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James A. Hodges and Laura Powell Hodges; her husband, Willard Street; two brothers, Allie F. Hodges and Will David Hodges; one sister, Annelle Hodges Black; one daughter, Wanda Street Plemons.
Survivors include her two grandchildren, Denise Plemons Everett (Wallace) of Indian Trail, North Carolina and Laura Darlene Rodgers of Hartselle; three great-grandchildren, Chelsea Everett Helms (Brendon) of Monroe, North Carolina, Samantha Rodgers and Karmel Rodgers both of Hartselle; one great great-granddaughter, Addison Grace Helms of Monroe, North Carolina; and loving nieces and nephews.
