A visitation for Buddy will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Westminster Presbyterian, 801 Jackson St SE, Decatur, AL 35601, followed by a service at 11:00 AM with Reverend Frank Broyles officiating and long time friend John Rogers delivering the eulogy. Buddy will be laid to rest in Roselawn Cemetery.
Buddy is survived by his dedicated and loving wife of 63 years, Carol Gregg, daughter Donna Gregg (Angi), and sisters Eleanor Barbee, Carolyn Place, and sister-in-law Kathy O'Barr. He also has many nieces and nephews, as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews. This includes a very special niece and nephew in-law, Marie and Leo Peplinski who made sure he was well cared for. He also leaves special friends Pat and Sandy Stanley.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ewell K. Gregg Sr and Nell P. Gregg, and sisters Jean Bloodworth and Martha Ann Hughes.
Mr. Gregg was a graduate of Auburn University. He went on to become a Construction Engineer. He was an avid lover of Auburn football and basketball. He was a dedicated member of Westminster Presbyterian serving as a Deacon and elder. He loved spending time with friends.
Pallbearers will be Pat Stanley, Crawford King, Doug Sittason, Leo Peplinski, Michael Speegle and Chris O'Barr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian.
