Freddy Gene Weeks

Freddy Gene Weeks, 75, of Athens, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023.Visitation will be on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Roselawn Funeral Home. The celebration of life service will follow at 11:30 AM in the chapel of the funeral home with Bro Mike Green officiating. He will be laid to rest at Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Fred is survived by his sisters, Frieda Seal and Brenda Weeks; brothers, David Weeks and Dewayne Weeks; three children, Kevin Weeks, Katina Verell and Melissa Guerra and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Emma Weeks; mother, Adell Weeks; father, Walter Weeks; sisters, Evelyn Weeks and Faye Burcham; and brother, Charles Weeks; two grandchildren, Skylar Hogeland and Spenser Rickard.

Fred served in the Navy, Air Force Reserve and the Army National Guard. He was also a Freemason. Fred loved building anything out of wood and created several beautiful pieces of furniture that his children will treasure forever. He had a degree in Electronics from the Navy and worked as an Instrument Mechanic at Browns Ferry in Athens. He loved life, family, traveling and the Lord. He touched hundreds of lives and was a true gift from God. He was our loving wonderful father and will forever live in our hearts.

Pallbearers will be Victor Guerra, Russell Verell, Ken Weeks, Aaron Hogeland, Logan Overton and Noah Overton.
