J. Mark Brown

J. Mark Brown, age 55, passed away on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, in Madison. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2016, at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur, Alabama with visitation from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. prior to the service.

Mark was born Feb. 3, 1961, in Decatur, Alabama to Alex E. Brown and Pat Brown. He was a computer system engineer. He went to Highland Academy in Portland, Tennessee and graduated from the University of Alabama - Huntsville with a B.S. in Business Administration, Management Information Systems.

Mark was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his wife, Candise Smith Brown; mother, Pat Brown, formerly of Decatur and currently residing in Kettering, Ohio; sister, Vicki Brown Davies (husband Terry), of Kettering, Ohio; stepson, Jason Smith; and grandchildren, Zach Smith and Nathan Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Plyler and Terry Davies.
